A sunny day around 5000 years ago, a little neolithic girl was lovingly looking upon her ancient cow in a field on a hill, overlooking the valley where their ancestors had raised huge stones. At least I would like to imagine that this has happened. Therefore I drew it. The girl is wearing small seashells in her hair-ribbon, something she was gifted once by her father. Seashells have served as a beautiful decorative detail in clothes ever since long before the Stone Age. Some of the oldest finds of these accessories date to around 130 000 years ago, found in the Skhul Cave. May this illustration fill you with calm and have you dream away to a place far, far away in another time completely.
