The leaves are turning crisp and the air is getting easier to breathe, finally autumn is making her entry! With light in hand to illuminate the darker days, and holding the fading sun in her grasp. During the Autumnal Equinox the day and the night are the same length signaling the astronomical beginning of autumn. Historically this signified the collection of crops, making it the harvest season. I have personified autumn here as a goddess, ruling over harvest and the slowing down of time, where the light is fading and the darkness surrounds us like a cosy blanket.
